Charlotte Data Solutions provides structured cabling services throughout Conover, Hickory, Lenoir, Morganton, and the surrounding Unifour region. The Hickory-Lenoir-Morganton region serves as a major economic center in Western North Carolina and includes businesses throughout Catawba, Caldwell, and Burke counties.
Whether you are building a new office, expanding a manufacturing facility, relocating your business, or upgrading aging network infrastructure, our team designs and installs reliable cabling systems built to support today's technology demands and future growth
As the Hickory–Conover–Lenoir–Morganton corridor continues to grow, the demand for reliable, high-quality network infrastructure is increasing just as quickly. Modern office builds, manufacturing facilities, and new commercial spaces in the region now require the same level of structured cabling and network design you’d expect in major metro markets
That’s where Charlotte Data Solutions stands apart.
We are not a national franchise or outsourced service provider. When you hire us, your project is handled directly by our experienced team from planning through completion. There are no call centers, no subcontracted crews being rotated in from other states, and no disconnect between design and installation. Just consistent, accountable work from professionals who understand your project from day one.
The Unifour region is also seeing a shift in development quality. New commercial spaces and “big city–style” office environments are moving into areas like Hickory, Conover, Lenoir, and Morganton. These projects require structured cabling systems that are designed correctly the first time—supporting high-density Wi-Fi, VoIP, security systems, and expanding data demands.
Our team brings more than 20 years of hands-on structured cabling experience, combined with 9 years of project coordination and construction management. That blend matters. It means we don’t just pull cable—we understand scheduling with other trades, coordinating with general contractors, working within active job sites, and delivering systems that are clean, documented, and ready for long-term performance.
For businesses in the Unifour region, that translates into fewer delays, fewer surprises, and a network infrastructure that actually supports growth instead of limiting it.

One of the high quality services we offer is rack clean ups. Often times these racks just get out of hand over time. Here is a project we worked on in a manufacturing plant. Keeping the exsisting network racks, and most of the building wiring, we rebuilt this rack to be neat organized and keep things manageable. We did add some new lines for a new production equipment line they were adding.

Network cabling contractors who are experts with Structured cabling. Ethernet, Cat 6 or Cat 7 Cabling should always be installed by a company who understands networking. Some electricians can run these cables. However, we get many calls to fix cabling that was done by someone who was not qualified to to do the job. Pricing depends on the number of cables needed but could range from $200-300 per wire. The best way to get an accurate price for your project is to reach out to us. We are happy to talk to you about your needs, and provide a free written estimate. Some factors that adjust the pricing would include, does the building have drop ceilings, drywall, or is it an open warehouse? how tall are the ceilings? What other equipment will be needed for the installation? Things like Server racks, patch panels, cable management, conduit, etc. can all affect the over all cost of a project. In General, many smaller offices might end up paying $5-10,000 for a total install depending on the above factors.
Many of the high rise buildings actually do not have return airducts but use the space above the drop ceiling. When this is the case, Plenum cabling is needed. Plenum cabling does in fact cost more then “riser” or typical cables.
Ethernet is always faster then WiFi regardless of the advertised speeds.
there are many factors involved in this question. However, a cable plugged into a computer will always give you a reliable connection. Where as WiFi can give you a lot of trouble. For example, in many of the offices in the tall buildings, there could be 50 floors each with 5-10 offices, all with their own WiFi. all of that adds up to a lot of interference with your signals.
